Almost every industry has an online presence; and a growing number of companies are recognising that good UX = higher revenue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Increased investment in UX design across the board has landed the role on LinkedIn\u2019s list of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/10-most-in-demand-tech-jobs-skills-2022-beyond-spectrumfuturetech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10 most in-demand tech jobs in 2022<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Glassdoor\u2019s top 50 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glassdoor.com\/List\/Best-Jobs-in-America-LST_KQ0,20.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">best jobs in America list for 2022<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, UX is set to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/ooh\/computer-and-information-technology\/web-developers.htm#tab-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">continue to grow in demand<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the next eight years. This is also due to UX becoming a Google ranking factor, meaning businesses will need to focus on their UX to remain competitive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s also promising growth in the tech field for 2023, which is great news for future job-seekers who are concerned about breaking into the industry. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comptia.org\/content\/tech-jobs-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CompTIA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> found that job postings for tech positions totaled nearly 2.2 million during 2022 so far (a staggering 52% increase over the previous year).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond the tech industry, you\u2019ll find job ads for UX designers in education, finance, non-profit organisations, healthcare, government, media, and sustainability\u2014to name a few. There\u2019s also an increased demand for UX skills globally, especially in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John Dennehy (founder of IT recruitment company, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zartis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zartis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) suggests that <\/span><b><i>\u201cmany internal and agency recruiters struggle to fill UX roles because there\u2019s a knowledge gap. As a result, many UX roles remain unfilled.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ux-designers-are-well-paid\"><strong>UX professionals are well paid<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among one the most compelling reasons to pursue a career in UX design is the earning potential. Financial stability is a valid priority for career changers, especially when faced with economic uncertainty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luckily, the global skills shortage and competition for UX professionals is pushing salaries upwards\u2014especially for mid-level and senior positions. On the other side of the world, a UX designer in Sydney, Australia can expect to earn around <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glassdoor.ie\/Salaries\/sydney-user-experience-designer-salary-SRCH_IL.0,6_IM962_KO7,31.htm?countryRedirect=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A$90,422<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salaries are also enticing in more specialised UX roles like that of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uxdesigninstitute.com\/blog\/what-does-a-ux-researcher-do\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UX researcher<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
