Anca Dobrea<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anca Dobrea is a digital marketer turned UX designer. She obtained her UX diploma in 2020 and then went on to land her first design role at Space 48, an award-winning ecommerce agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a newcomer to the field, Anca built <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">her UX portfolio<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without any on-the-job experience. In addition to the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fly UX project<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> she completed as part of her studies, Anca also came up with her own unique project: the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plan Shop Cook app<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5847\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uxdesigninstitute.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Screenshot-2022-01-26-at-14.29.14.png\" alt=\"Anca Dobrea portfolio examples\" width=\"1176\" height=\"581\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her Plan Shop Cook case study, Anca turns a real user problem she was facing into a fully-fledged UX project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She explains how as she was following the Joe Wicks Body Coach programme during lockdown, she encountered a major flaw. All the workouts and recipes were delivered in PDF format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt took me over four hours every week to plan and shop the recipes. It\u2019s exhausting to copy and paste the ingredients, multiply it by how many portions you plan to cook and also for how many people. An app urgently needed to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like a true UX professional, Anca set out to solve her own user problem. Solveig Berge<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solveig is an Oslo-based designer with a background in sales, customer service and marketing. After completing her studies with the UX Design Institute in 2021, she landed a job as UX designer at consultancy firm Atkins Norge AS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solveigberge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UX portfolio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Solveig does a great job of structuring her case studies into a logical story but that\u2019s not all. Often, they just want to see that you\u2019ve got the fundamental skills and are willing to learn, grow and receive feedback. It\u2019s simple in structure, layout and design, but it certainly doesn\u2019t compromise on detail or quality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can get fancy with the design of your portfolio, and you absolutely should if you have the time, know-how and desire. But, equally, if you\u2019re short on time and resources or just want to keep things simple, that works too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Key takeaway from Sarah\u2019s UX portfolio:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sometimes, less is more. It\u2019s important that your UX portfolio demonstrates your design skills in action and conveys a hint of your personality<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014but you don\u2019t need to go all out. Clean design and easy navigation speak volumes, and you can still showcase your smarts as a UX designer without spending weeks on your website. As long as your portfolio website is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and clearly demonstrates your UX design process, you\u2019re onto a winner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>6. <b>Kinga Kocemba<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kinga Kocemba is a newly-qualified UX designer based in Oslo, Norway.
